KBR to Provide Project Management Services for Largest Wind Farm in Southern Hemisphere

KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced that it has been selected by AGL Energy Limited (AGL) to provide project management services for the design and construction of the 140-turbine Macarthur Wind Farm, to be located in Victoria, Australia. Once constructed, the Macarthur Wind Farm is expected to be the largest wind farm in the southern hemisphere.

KBR’s project team will serve as AGL’s representative, overseeing contractors selected to work on the project. This contract award marks the fourth wind farm project for which KBR has worked as project manager for AGL. KBR’s experience, including its participation in the majority of the active UK offshore wind farm projects, positions the company to be among the leaders in wind farm projects worldwide.
