New CEO Appointed for AVANTI (Denmark)

Erik Laursen, 49, is to become new CEO at Avanti Wind Systems.

Erik Laursen comes from a position as Senior Vice President at Terma Aerostructures.

He has previously been Vice President of Bosch Rexroth Wind Energy in Germany, Managing Director for Vestas Australia and Senior Vice President for NEG Micon in Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in organisation and management and a master’s degree in civil engineering, logistics and systems.

The former CEO, Søren Midtgaard, the main shareholder in Avanti Wind Systems, will be taking up a position as Manager of Business Development.

The new Avanti Wind Systems management team will thereafter be (from left) CFO Kurt Binder, COO Rolf Brunssen, Managing Director Charlotte Brøste, CEO Erik Laursen – and Business Development Manager Søren Midtgaard, currently away on business.
