The Netherlands: Program Conference “Offshore Wind Installation and Maintenance 2011” Almost Complete

The program for the second edition of the conference “Offshore Wind Installation and Maintenance” is almost complete. The conference, organized by Navingo in association with HME and supported by IRO, will take place on the 26th of May 2011 in the World Trade Center Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Among the speakers already confirmed are representatives of DONG Energy, Typhoon Capital, European Investment Bank, GustoMSC, Ballast Nedam Offshore, CG Global, Damen Shipyards, Siemens, Sea Energy Marine, Visser en Smit Marine Contracting and Joulz.

The goal of the conference is to share knowledge on developments in the offshore wind sector (particularly Northwest Europe), and more specifically what consequences this has for the offshore wind value chain. Next to this, sessions will be organized on the European electricity grid, offshore cabling and financial aspects of offshore wind parks. In the afternoon, an interactive session is planned in which the delegates’ opinions on important issues within offshore wind will be polled electronically.

The conference is organized for a broad target audience: from utilities companies and project developers to shipyards and from port authorities to researchers. Moreover Navingo hopes to welcome many offshore engineers and -managers. Among the companies that have already registered to join the conference are A2Sea, Associated Danish Ports, Dockwise Shipping, Fugro, IHC Offshore Wind, Seajacks UK, Vroon Offshore Services and many others.

Offshore Wind Installation and Maintenance 2011 is the only event in the Netherlands to focus solely on installation and maintenance. The conference is combined with an exhibition zone for company and product displays.
