Seajacks Managing Director Gives Full Credit to Employees (UK)

Business & Finance

Seajacks Managing Director, Blair Ainslie – who has successfully steered the company from a start-up to a £65m business which owns and operates purpose-built self-propelled jack-up vessels out of Great Yarmouth – was named this Year’s (EDP) Director of the year.

His vessels are used to install and maintain offshore wind turbines, as well as to service and maintain offshore oil and gas platforms in the North Sea.

Mr Ainslie said “It’s a great honour to receive this award of Director of the Year, but we all know that success can only be achieved by collective effort and here at Seajacks I have a wonderful team, both onshore and offshore, of enthusiastic, dedicated and professional individuals who pull together to make Seajacks the resounding success that it is.

“This award is recognition for their loyalty, energy and unabated efforts which has brought Seajacks from an idea to a company that employs 200 people and turns over in excess of 80m per annum in less than five years.

“We are proud to be based in Great Yarmouth, the offshore energy capital of the Southern North Sea, and we hope that the publicity that this award brings will show that it is a great place to set up business and that it will encourage other companies who are considering locating their operations in the UK that Norfolk is a great option for them.”
