The down-scaled 1:6 test model met full scale extreme weather and sank during the extreme storm “Berit”.
The turbine was located at the test site, and inspected by ROV. Structural damages are minor, and the model will be recovered soon. The time needed to repair it will then be assessed. Even though the effect of the extreme storm “Berit” would not be a problem for a full scale turbine this incident will certainly give us important and valuable experience.
