Jacques Hardelay To Join Alstom Renewable Power (France)

Starting on February 20th, 2012, Jacques Hardelay will join Alstom Renewable Power as Alstom Hydro Europe President. He will report to Jérôme Pécresse, Alstom Renewable Power President and Alstom Executive Vice-Président.

Born in 1950, Jacques Hardelay graduated from the ESME SUDRIA school of mechanics and electricity. After joining the industry in 1976, he took on a managerial role at SAB-Wabco (railway braking systems specialists) in Italy and France (1992-2001). He joined Alstom Transport in 2002 as a La Rochelle plant manager, and later as CEO of the company’s manufacturing sites in Italy, before joining Alstom’s Marine shipyards in 2005 as director of operations. Following the sale of Alstom Marine to the Aker Yards group, he was appointed CEO of Aker Yards SA in 2006 and, after the takeover by the Korean group STX in 2008, was confirmed CEO of the company, now dubbed STX France.
