Transfer and windfarm service vessel Mobimar 18 Wind was launched yesterday, the 27th of February.
The quay trials started immediately and the main propulsion system with the side propulsions will be commissioned later this week.
The hydraulics will be pressurised after the engines and the auxiliary engine are running. At the end of this week, after pressurisation of the hydraulics, the gripper will be able to function.
However, the engine adjustments and the gripper trial runs will continue next week. After the quay trials the trimaran will be lifted and moved shortly back to our production facilities for an epoxy coating of the gripper paws. In the process the vessel name, home port and the shipowner logos will be painted. After the finishing phase the vessel will be transported to the location where sea trials, including e.g. speed tests, can take place.
