UK: Trident to Take Part in All-Energy

Trident Energy will be exhibiting on Stand B62 at All-Energy, the UK’s largest Renewable Energy event taking place in Aberdeen on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th May, 2012.

The company is an independent developer of enabling technology for the offshore renewable energy industry. Its stand will feature the patented generator which converts linear motion directly into electricity.

The company’s low cost, highly reliable technology is designed to reduce the overall cost of offshore renewable energy generation. It provides clean autonomous off-grid power to offshore structures such as pre-operational offshore wind turbines or oil & gas facilities. It also enables co-location of grid export wave power generation with offshore wind turbines to reduce cost of energy by sharing offshore foundations and electrical infrastructure.

In addition, its linear generator is a cost-effective generic power take-off solution which can be integrated into a wide range of stand-alone wave energy converters and some tidal stream devices. The direct drive system removes the need for intermediate systems such as gearboxes or hydraulics thereby increasing efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
