UK: Students Complete Renewable Energy Visit to Guernsey

Twenty-four undergraduate students studying for a BSc in Renewable Energy have completed their visit to Guernsey, reported BBC.

The main goal of their 10-day visit was to study the potential of the offshore renewable energy.

According to the students, the island holds „a vast wind, wave and tide resource“ and „good potential for financial returns“.

Mat Desforges, lead officer for the Commerce and Employment Department’s renewable energy team, said: “It’s been a great independent check and confirmation we’re going in the right direction.”

The results will be presented during a public presentation in June.
