UK: Inverlussa's Vessel Successfully Deploys ADCP tidal meters

Inverlussa Marine Services’ m.v. Margaret Sinclair was chartered to deploy ADCP tidal meters up to 12 miles west of Islay for SSE Renewables, the job was a huge success considering the exposed location and tidal current which the area is renowned for.

Launched in 2006 Margaret Sinclair is a 21m coastal landing craft, purpose built for Inverlussa Marine Services by Alexander Noble and Sons Ltd, of Girvan. The vessel was built to the company’s exact specifications, to provide an all-round work boat fit for the varied and challenging terrain of the West Coast of Scotland.

With a cargo-carrying capacity of 68 tonnes, this highly flexible vessel, with its bow thruster and high lift rudders, offers great maneuverability and the ability to hold a stationary position when required.

The spacious, clear working area on deck makes the boat suitable for everything from ferry contracts, to cargo carrying, to survey work.
