UK: Developers Offer MoD Deal to Approve Offshore Wind Farm

Vattenfall, Technip and Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group have offered a deal to the UK’s Ministry of Defence to withdraw its objection on a proposed offshore wind farm off the Aberdeen coast so the project can start with the development, the P&J Energy reports.

The developers yesterday released papers in which, under the terms of the “windfarm mitigation contract”,they offer to cover the cost of any interference Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) would make to the National Air Traffic Service’s radar systems.
