Turbine Installation Starts at Anholt Offshore Wind Farm, Denmark

The next phase of Anholt Offshore Wind Farm starts. Over the last months, Siemens has shipped turbine parts to the harbour in Grenaa where they have been stored and pre-assembled prior to the final installation in the assembly facility in the North Harbour.

On Sunday 26 August, Siemens Wind Power hosted an open house event for everyone interested in seeing the giant wind turbine components and the large cranes, lorries, machines and equipment used to handle them, and the interest was immense.

Turbine installation commenced on September 1 and the installation vessel Sea Power was berthed in Grenaa North Harbour, ready for the job.
