Wind Farm Update

SEA POWER Successfully Installs First Anholt Turbine (Denmark)

On Tuesday evening, SEA POWER succeded in installing the first wind turbine on Anholt Offshore Wind Park.

The Master on SEA POWER was very satisfied with the operation: “There is always a good atmosphere onboard after a succesful operation. The new setup with the crane worked well, and right now we are just waiting for good weather, so that we can go out and install the next WTG.”

A total of 111 Siemens 3,6MW wind turbines will be installed during the period 2012 and 2013.

When finished, Anholt Offshore Wind Farm will be Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm with an overall capacity of 400MW and will cover 4% of Denmark’s total power consumption based on CO2-free power.

SEA POWER will continue installing wind turbines and in November, SEA WORKER will join. In January, A2SEA’s new vessel SEA INSTALLER will arrive at the farm and join her two colleagues in the installation.
