A public consultation event held on Saturday in Millom, concerning the extension of the Walney Offshore Windfarm, had less attendance than expected.
As the North- West Evening Mail reports, less than 20 people showed up to learn about Dong Energy’s plans and give their opinion.
Peter Sills, the company’s communications manager believes this is because individual briefings have already been held with different interested community groups. Meetings held in Barrow and the Isle of Man, on the other hand, attracted more interest.
