Since its creation, 18 August 2010, OMS is continuously looking for ways to expand and enhance what is offered to the industry and it has become apparent, from the many seminars and conferences that have been attended, that the smaller operators need to pool their resources to gain a more forceful presence.

Since the start, Flagship vessel “Mabel Alice” has become renowned for undertaking bird and mammal surveys for many of the big names in Offshore Wind including EoN, Centrica, SSE, Natural Power, A2Sea and Natural England. As well as her history, from the time she spent in RNLI service at Penlee, she continuously out-performs and is extremely well received by all who step on board. Her other claim to fame, is that she was chartered by 20th Century Fox during the filming of some of the Narnia series of films.

To this end, OMS announced a new joint venture with Energy Marine Services to market the various vessels that are available to the individual companies jointly. Managing Director, Andy Iannetta, says “This joint approach is aimed at bringing smaller operators together under our joint control, enabling a larger pool of vessels of the desired standard and condition to become readily available” , Both OMS and EMS aim to market any vessel on behalf of other owners / operators.
