UK: Trident to Test Floating Generator for Second Time

Trident Energy will test its generator prototype in the spring on a deep water pier in Scotland, trying to create electricity from wave energy.

This will be the second time the company undertakes this test, because three years ago the first prototype sank before it could be tested on the sea, writes the BBC.

The generator, which is placed in a pod floating on the water, could also be used at wind farms. Namely, the podscould be added to the base of wind turbines. One of the wind farms where the generator could be used is the East Anglia Array.
