Ballast Nedam has strengthened the compliance organization with the appointment of Sylvie Bleker as Chief Compliance & Risk Officer (CCRO). With effect from 1 January 2013 she will implement Ballast Nedam’s tightened compliance and risk policy in order to guarantee the organization’s integrity.

The CCRO will oversee the compliance policy for Ballast Nedam as a whole, focusing among other things on the implementation of the tightened compliance guidelines within a new management system. The CCRO will also oversee the monitoring of observance of the compliance guidelines. Ballast Nedam operates a zero tolerance compliance policy.

Furthermore one member of the Supervisory Board will be appointed with special authority in respect of the compliance policy. The CCRO will also report to the Supervisory Board.

Dr Sylvie C. Bleker-van Eyk will continue as programdirector of the Compliance & Integrity Management postgraduate programme at VU University Amsterdam and as deputy chair of the Government Integrity Board (OIO). Until 1 January 2013 she will be Corporate Compliance & Risk Officer at Stork B.V. and Chief Compliance Officer at Fokker Technologies Holding.

Ballast Nedam engages in integrated projects in The Netherlands in four areas of work: housing, mobility, energy and nature. Within this area they focus on the niche markets: industrial construction, offshore wind turbines, secondary raw materials and alternative fuels.
