Siemens Mechanical Drives (MD) is expanding its UK service capabilities with the appointment of Dan Litherland and Andrew Bacon.

Dan (30) is appointed senior service engineer. Dan has extensive experience in the wind sector and with a background in mechanical engineering will be working mainly in the renewables and utilities sectors, servicing Siemens wind turbines around the UK. He has also trained in diagnostic inspections involving vibration analysis and endoscopy. Dan lives on the Welsh Borders, near Shrewsbury and will work all over theUK.

Andrew (45) joins Siemens as external service engineer, responsible for service enquiries and project work at customers’ sites. He was previously a service engineer for UK, US and Italian companies and has a background in mechanical and electrical engineering. Andrew is from Wakefield in West Yorkshire, and will be based at the MD Leeds site, working around the UK.

Gary Husband heads up the Siemens Mechanical Drives service team: “Strengthening our service offer with the addition of another two experienced engineers puts Siemens in an excellent position to further support customers and partners, ensuring that our drives and systems continue to perform at their peak, particularly in growing industries like renewables.”
