Portugal: WavEC Carries Out Preparation for Wave Energy Converter Testing

On 23-24 January, part of Wave Energy Centre’s (WavEC) team has been performing measurements at a wave tank of the University of Porto’s Faculty of Engineering (FEUP) to prepare the testing of a wave energy converter at this tank in April.

The Wave Energy Centre is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2003 dedicated to the development and promotion of ocean wave energy and offshore wind through technical and strategic support to companies, R&D institutions and public entities. It is involved in several projects with European and national funding.

The Centre also strives to collaborate with companies and other institutions outside Portugal that recognise the necessity of International Cooperation, in particular those who seek an association with Portuguese companies / institutions.
