VIDEO: ADX XR System Utilized during Wind Turbine Blade Transport on Jack-Up Vessel

To meet the exacting demands of navigating and docking large vessels, the measurement of low speeds, precise heading and Rate of Turn is of utmost importance to the pilot. The ADX XR Portable Pilot Unit system derives these measurements using state-of-the-art GPS/GLONASS Real Time Kinematic (RTK) techniques along with precise RoT sensors. ADX XR system is utilized when special transport is taking place. The following is a video of the system’s performance during transportation of wind turbine blades on offshore wind farm jack-up vessel “Neptune” through the channel of Oostende, Belgium:
