Maryland Governor O’Malley has appointed Mark Hooley, a partner in accounting, tax and advisory firm CohnReznick, to the Maryland Clean Energy Center Board of Directors. This appointment reinforces firm’s commitment to renewable energy in Maryland and Mid-Atlantic.

Hooley will be filling the Finance seat vacated by Mr. Connolly and will assume those duties from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2017.

Hooley commented: “From a National, State and Local perspective, CohnReznick has spent a decade dedicating time and resources to supporting the clean energy sector, so my appointment to the Maryland Clean Energy Center Board of Directors is a natural fit for me personally and professionally. As a member of CohnReznick’s Renewable Energy Practice, I will be in a position to leverage what I see across the U.S. and internationally to bring new ideas and concepts to the Board that will help drive a more sustainable future here in Maryland.”

The National Co-Leader of the firm’s Renewable Energy Practice, Anton Cohen , who is based in Bethesda, said: “Maryland is poised to be a leader in clean energy deployment; for example the Maryland Offshore Wind Energy Act provides a framework to develop wind energy off our state’s coast. We will continue to support the Maryland Clean Energy Center, and we’re pleased that our efforts to date have been recognized with this important appointment.”
