Offshore Wind Work Discussed at NORCOWE's Work Package Meetings (Norway)

Norwegian Centre for Offshore Wind Energy’s (NORCOWE) Work Package Meetings 2013 were hosted by the University of Stavanger and gathered almost 70 participants.

Apart from presenting the newest results from the various work packages, speakers from the industry were also invited to give related talks.

Offshore Wind Work Discussed at NORCOWE's Work Package Meetings (Norway)Statoil, one of NORCOWE’s industrial partners, was well represented with three talks. Elizabeth Baumann Ofstad highlighted the structured work process used by Statoil to bring ideas through the R&D phase to become proven technology.

Other industry and research institutes invited especially to this NORCOWE seminar included DEWI, ECN, DNV Kema, DTU Wind and EDF Energy R&D.

Offshore Wind Work Discussed at NORCOWE's Work Package Meetings (Norway)The presentations on the first day were closed by a poster session, giving students and researchers further opportunities to present and discuss their work.
