ARCH Extends Its GWO Approved Training Provision in Ireland

ARCH announced that it has extended their range of Global Wind Organisation (GWO) approved safety training courses. ARCH is now approved to deliver GWO Manual Handling, GWO Fire Awareness and GWO First Aid.

This training will complement its GWO and RenewableUK Working at Height and Rescue – Wind Turbines training provision and ensure that companies and personnel working in the wind energy sector in Ireland can access locally based training which is internationally accredited and will enable their technicians to work on wind farms worldwide.

ARCH was the first training provider based in Ireland, north or south, to be approved by RenewableUK and the Global Wind Organisation and is delighted to lead the way again with the provision of these new safety training courses. ARCH is the only training provider based in Ireland to be approved to deliver this range of GWO approved training.

The Global Wind Organisation is an association of major wind turbine manufacturers and GWO approved wind energy safety training is designed to enable personnel accessing wind turbines to work safely and to develop competence in emergency response requirements. The training is designed for personnel working on onshore and offshore wind farms.

Anne Gallagher, ARCH’s Business Manager comments on this approval ’ARCH is pleased to offer an enhanced range of safety training to our wind energy clients in Ireland, and we look forward to working in partnership with our customers to ensure that GWO safety training delivers added value to wind turbine technicians through increased safety awareness and competence.’
