Areva and Gamesa to Establish Joint Offshore Wind Business?

Rumor has it that Areva and Gamesa are negotiating the establishment of a new joint venture in offshore wind energy industry.

If true, the companies would focus on building offshore wind turbines and would each hold a 50% stake in the new business, according to two sources cited by Reuters that have “direct knowledge of the matter”.

The companies have not commented yet on these claims.
