Preparatory Onshore Work Starts for Eneco Luchterduinen OWF

The preparatory onshore work for the Dutch offshore wind farm Eneco Luchterduinen has started.

The onshore cable installation is the first step to prepare the later grid connection, and Ecofys is currently in charge of developing and managing the electrical infrastructure.

Ecofys will perform quality inspections for the fabrication of various electrical components and manage parts of the installation works on site.

Ecofys has supported the project since its early stages, i.e. with layout optimisation, cost modeling and environmental management. The offshore wind farm is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2015. It will be built 23 kilometres off the coast of Noordwijk and Zandvoort. With 43 wind turbines and a collective power of 129 MW, the wind farm will produce energy for about 150.000 households per year.
