AXYS Technologies Appoints New Agent for Korea

AXYS Technologies Inc. has announced the appointment of GeoSystem Research Corporation (GeoSR) as its new agent for the Republic of Korea. The agreement includes representation of AXYS’ marine product line and the WindSentinel™ wind resource assessment buoy.

GeoSR has been busy, already securing two project contracts. With the first contract, GeoSR has supplied a TRIAXYS™ Next Wave Directional Wave Sensor to the Korean Meteorological Administration (KMA) for acceptance into its wave monitoring program. The second project win required GeoSR to provide a TRIAXYS Directional Wave Buoy to the Korean Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration (KHOA) for use on an upcoming wave monitoring project. The buoy is now deployed and operating according to specifications.

GeoSR was identified as a potential partner for AXYS at the MTS Buoy Workshop held in Victoria, British Columbia in 2012. GeoSR Director Kevin Kim gave an excellent presentation outlining the expertise of GeoSR, not only as leaders in marine survey and environmental consultancy, but in the operation and maintenance of buoy networks for key clients in Korea. The ability to commission, deploy and maintain operational buoy networks is an important capability required for representatives of AXYS.

GeoSR immediately proved its ability to act in this capacity, as well as understand the operation of AXYS’ TRIAXYS and WatchMan500 core technologies. Mr. Kim, along with other GeoSR personnel, is currently attending a week-long advanced system training session at AXYS.
