Carnegie Wave Energy Limited (CWE) has informed that the installation of foundations at its Perth Wave Energy Project has reached the final stage.
The first two pile foundations have been installed and installation activities for the third and final pile are now underway. Completion of all foundation works is expected in the coming weeks. The foundation installation vessel Endeavour (previously named Eunsung 1200) commenced with the installation work at Perth wave energy project site in December .
Activities prior to Christmas confirmed the geotechnical conditions at the site and the suitability of the pile design and installation approach. Work was also carried out on improving accessibility to the installation vessel via preparing the vessel for helicopter transfer of the work crew. This approach is now being utilised.
