Bold Tern to Erect Block Island Wind Farm Turbines

Deepwater Wind has awarded a wind turbine installation contract to a Bold Tern, Bonheur and Ganger Rolf joint venture.

Bold Tern will install 5 Alstom’s 6MW wind turbines located about three miles off the coast of Block Island, R.I.

The installation is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016.

A few days ago Deepwater Wind signed another contract with Alstom for the supply of 5 wind turbines, including tower sections for this 30-megawatt Block Island Wind Farm.
