Natural Power to Sponsor International Seabird Conference

Natural Power will sponsor the International Seabird Group Conference at Merton College in Oxford next month.

The event, which has been running since the 1980’s is being supported by Natural Power’s Offshore Ecology team. The Seabird Group organises the meeting every two years with the aim of attracting around 100 targeted delegates to share seabird research, and discuss current issues and policies.

Natural Power will showcase some of the latest work that the Offshore Ecology team has worked on in the past 24 months as well as providing financial recognition to the best poster presentations at the event.

Chris Pendlebury, Principal Ecologist commented: “This is a very unique event in which Natural Power’s expertise can be shared, as well as developing further links into the academic community. We are delighted to be sponsoring the event and look forward to meeting other industry experts over the course of the conference.”

The Natural Power Ecology & Hydrology department has considerable experience advising on all aspects of ecological and hydrological projects, including all baseline surveying requirements, data collation, statistical & modelling expertise, environmental impact assessments, HRA, mitigation and monitoring.

The company’s long history in offshore wind and expertise is in the provision of advice and surveys to all phases of wind farm developments (feasibility, EIA, post-consent, pre-construction, construction and operation/OFTO). In the past two years the Ecology & Hydrology department alone have worked on 20 offshore wind farms and 60 onshore wind projects across the UK.
