East Riding of Yorkshire Council Requires Consultancy Services

The Business Support Project Team of East Riding of Yorkshire Council plans to assist local companies to enter the renewable energy supply chain.

Therefore, the team is seeking to establish a consultancy framework agreement, which will provide business support and advice for local businesses.

A minimum of 200 businesses over 4 years will be assisted through a combination of company reviews, facilitation of sector interest groups and workshops. Consultants will be contracted to the Council to undertake specific reviews or workshops based on their relevant experience and expertise.

Business consultancy skills required include:

Operations – Typical types of consultancy support for this skill may include (but not limited to) advice and support in the following areas: Production, Systems, Accreditations, Managing Change and Sustainability.

Strategy – Typical types of consultancy support for this skill may include (but not limited to) company vision, goals, business plans, SWOT Analysis, partnerships and supply chain optimisation.

Marketing and Sales – Typical types of consultancy support for this skill may include (but not limited to) market profiles, promotion, sales plan and communications.

Innovation – Typical types of consultancy support for this skill may include (but not limited to) areas of Research and Development in products, processes, services, technologies or ideas.

People and Skills – Typical types of consultancy support for this skill may include (but not limited to) advice and support in Organisational Structures, Recruitment, Training Needs Analysis, Employee Relations and Employment Law.

Finance – Typical types of consultancy support for this skill may include, (but not limited to) Managing Change, Financial Strategies, Growth Plans, Loans and Grants and Sales Forecasts.

Renewables sector knowledge is required in one or more of the following areas: Biofuel, Biomass, Green Deal, Low Carbon Technology, Offshore and Onshore Wind (covering Manufacturing, Services, Professional and Seabed), Ports and Shipping Services, Biomass and Anaerobic Digestion, Solar Heat and Solar Photovoltaic, and Tidal Technology.
