VIDEO: Siemens’ Ray Thompson Discusses UK’s OW Manufacturing Opportunities

Ray Thompson, Head of Business Development at Siemens Wind Power UK, spoke with GROW:OffshoreWind about the opportunity for UK manufacturing, following the recent decision  by Siemens and the UK’s Associated British Ports to invest £310m in UK wind farm turbine factories.

There is a number of current opportunities for UK manufacturers with Tier 1 contractors. GROW:OffshoreWind provides intelligence and live data to target real offshore wind component manufacturing and maintenance opportunities.

With 30,000 jobs expected to be created in offshore wind over the next 8 years, UK manufacturers have huge scope for expansion.
