50Hertz Offshore GmbH, German grid operator in charge of connecting wind farms in the Baltic Sea, is seeking a contractor to carry out ordnance disposal work along submarine cable routes for the grid connection of two offshore wind farms.

The connection point of the wind farms is in Lubmin, where wind farms from the West of Adlergrund wind energy priority area in the Baltic Sea will be connected.

The area is located in waters of the German state of Mecklenburg Vorpommern, covering 12 nautical miles (12 NM zone) in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The procurement project covers a total of five submarine cable routes, which are completely offshore. Four of these are long routes encompassing approximately 90 km, while one route is approximately 7km long.

The long cable routes are divided into two lots. One lot is for cable routes in shallow water area with water depths between 0m and 16m, and the other is for a deep-water area with water depths from 16m and more.

The deadline for submission of bids is May 27.
