Photo of the Day: First Eneco Luchterduinen Foundation Completed

Offshore WIND’s photo of the day: The first monopile foundation for Eneco Luchterduinen Wind Farm offshore wind project on its way to the construction site. 

Sif Group in the city of Roermond is manufacturing 43 steel foundation piles for the Eneco Luchterduinen Wind Farm, located 23 kilometers off the coast between Noordwijk and Zandvoort. Wind turbines will be mounted directly on top of these monopiles, representing an innovative new technique that has previously been applied only in a relatively small number of cases.
