Photo of the Day: Bladt Erects First Baltic 2 Jacket

Bladt Industries, an international steel contractor, has erected the first out of 41 Baltic 2 offshore wind farm jackets at its Lindoe construction site.

Last year, the company received an order from ARGE Baltic 2 Foundations, a joint venture between HOCHTIEF Offshore Crewing, HOCHTIEF Solutions AG and GeoSea NV, who are responsible for the design, manufacturing, transport, and installing the foundations.

Located around 32 kilometers north of Ruegen Island in the German Baltic Sea the wind farm consists of 80 wind turbines of 3.6 MW each.

The wind farm is owned by German utility company EnBW and will have a total capacity of 288 MW.
