“In cooperation with the client, we will plan and handle the terminal and stevedore assignments for the three projects. At the same time we will monitor all operations and ensure that there is enough capacity and knowhow available. In total, we will handle 29 shipments from the Port of Esbjerg, which includes 193 wind turbines”, says Søren Messmann, operational manager from Blue Water’s port service department.

The three projects are challenging and demanding regarding Blue Waters flexibility and resources.

“It is extremely important that every detail is planned thoroughly. We will experience that the projects will overlap each other and that is why our flexibility plays an important role”, says Peter Gysin Nielsen, administrative manager from Blue Waters port service department.

Westermost Rough is the first project in the world using 6 MW turbines, delivered by Siemens, in a large scale.
