French Electricity Transmission Network (RTE) is inviting tenders for safety consultancy services.

RTE Invites Tenders for Cable Laying Safety Consultancy Services

Namely, RTE is seeking a contractor to coordinate health and safety protection during the cable laying in waters off French coast.

Covered by this tender are four offshore wind projects awarded during the first offshore wind round in France’s Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique), Courseulles-sur-Mer (Calvados) , Fecamp (Seine-Maritime) and Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d’Armor).

First three sites were awarded to the EDF/Alstom Consortium, while Iberdrola and Areva won the rights to develop the fourth site.

This tender also covers 210 kilometer subsea cable connection project between Aude and the Bouches du Rhône in France, and another 230 kilometer connection project between France and the UK.

Interested parties have until 19th of August 2014 to submit their applications.
