The project is fully permitted and has received the first Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency  (BSH) release in November 2009. The project is in the design phase and current certification tasks are conducted by Germanischer Lloyd Industrial Services.

For further BSH releases the project certification is split into 4 lots: Design phase wind turbine generator and foundation (Lot 1); Design phase offshore substation and inter array cables (Lot 2); Implementation phase wind turbine generator and foundation (Lot 3); Implementation phase offshore substation and inter array cables (Lot 4). Submission of documents for the 3rd BSH release is scheduled for the end of 2014.
