From autumn 2016, A2SEA will play a key role in helping build the 402MW Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm in the UK for Statoil, Masdar and Statkraft.

A2SEA will provide their specialist purpose-built offshore installation vessel SEA INSTALLER to install the 67 Siemens 6MW turbines.

Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm is located off the coast of the seaside town of Cromer in North Norfolk and will provide approx. 400,000 households with renewable power by 2017.

”It is with great pleasure and proudness that we can inform that A2SEA will install the 67 Siemens 6MW turbines on the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm in the UK. We have great experience with installation of the 6MW Siemens turbine from two former projects, and our skilled teams both on board SEA INSTALLER and at the office have secured a solid, efficient and safe solution to install the turbines for Statoil,” says Jens Frederik Hansen, CEO at A2SEA.

The Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm is owned by Statoil (35%), Masdar (35%) and Statkraft (30%) and is situated 32 km off the cost of the seaside town of Cromer in North Norfolk in the UK. The Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm is expected to be fully commissioned by 2017.

A2SEA has installed more than half of the Northern Europe’s offshore wind farms, and the Danish Installation Contractor is looking forward to this next significant project;

“The contractual process with Statoil has been conducted in an open and trusting forum by our skilled and dedicated team. We are very pleased to continue our cooperation and partnership with Statoil for installation of turbines, which started on their first offshore wind project Sheringham Shoal, and now continues on the Dudgeon project,” says Jens Frederik Hansen.
