Photo of the Day: Westermost Rough Starting to Bloom

Offshore WIND’s photo of the day: Two Westermost Rough offshore wind turbines saying “Hello!” to stormy clouds. 

Accompanied by two vessels working at the site, the Strill Server and NOS Discovery, the turbines on the photograph are two of total three installed at Westermost Rough. The offshore wind farm, under development by Dong Energy, will comprise 35 Siemens 6MW turbines.

Situated around 8km off the Holderness coast, the wind farm is scheduled to become operational next year.

The photo was taken by Mr. Steven Nicholson, HSE Site Engineer at Dong Energy for the Westermost Rough wind farm.
