BOW Terminal Loads Van Oord’s Cable Layer

Vessels

After a long windy period, BOW Terminal managed to load equipment onto Van Oord’s brand new DP2 Cable Layer “Nexus” yesterday.

The lifting of a cable carousel, fabricated by IHC Engineering Business, and a knuckle boom crane, manufactured by SMST, was performed as a tandem lift via BOW Terminal’s cranes.

The 126-meter vessel is currently undergoing preparations for the construction of Gemini offshore wind farm located 55 kilometers north of Schiermonnikoog.

A new DOC 8500 cable laying vessel was recently delivered by Damen after 15 months of construction.
