LORC Testing Centre Taking Shape

R&D

LORC has ordered a climatic chamber for its new test centre.

In cooperation with the industrial partner FORCE Technology, LORC will establish a climatic chamber for exposure of structures and components to varying climatic conditions, primarily low and high temperatures, temperature cycles and corrosive environments.

The climate chamber is being prepared for the testing of large components measuring 14 x 8 x 8 meters in temperatures ranging from -38 ºC to +60 ºC.

It will be the only one commercially available in northern Europe with the combination of temperature, humidity and corrosive environment. The aim is to use the climate chamber for the testing of cooling systems, transformers, hydraulic systems, generators, gears, etc.

The opening of the test centre is expected at the end of 2015.
