Last week, Seajacks Hydra joined other installation vessels working on the Global Tech I site for Adwen GmbH to support the commissioning of the eighty 5MW turbines located at the offshore wind farm site.
Hydra began supporting commissioning services on the 15th March and is expected to be onsite for approximately 3 months. Having Hydra in place is a good step to speed up the completion of the wind farm, which is due to be fully operational this summer 2015.
Adwen is a recently created joint venture dedicated to offshore wind, owned by Gamesa and AREVA.
