‘Freddie S’ Backs ‘Sea Challenger’ at Walney Offshore Wind Farm

A 17.5m wind farm support vessel from Windwave Workboats, Freddie S, will start providing jack-up support on the Walney Offshore Wind Farm by operating from Barrow in Furness.

She has spent the winter months in Liverpool Marina after finishing rope-access support on Burbo Bank last year.

Freddie S will mobilise on the 6th April to Barrow-In-Furness, where she will be supporting A2SEA’s Sea Challenger on the Walney Offshore Wind Farm, providing crew transfer and light cargo duties.

The crew will even have a change of scene on the transit to the wind farm because, since their last visit to Walney in the early part of last year, the West of Duddon Sands Wind Farm has been completed.
