LSH Selling Reef Subsea UK’s Plough

Asset consultants at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), have been appointed to sell a major subsea asset formerly operated by Reef Subsea UK Ltd, currently in administration.

An SMD Heavy Duty Inter Array Flexibles Plough, that has a multi-depth capacity of up to 2.4 metres burial, can handle power cables and flexibles up to 200mm diameter, was delivered in Q1 2013. The plough completed a 20 month, £80m project on the Gwynt y Mor Offshore Wind Farm, owned by RWE Innogy and is one of the largest in the World.

“This plough is unique and is based upon the SMD HD3 platform, of which there are only five in the world,” commented, Keith Tatterton, Director at LSH’s Machinery & Business Assets team.
