Dr Federica Pace, Baker Consultants’ Marine Technical Director, is speaking at the upcoming OCEANOISE 2015 conference in Barcelona, Spain, to be held from 11-15th May. T he conference theme is “Towards an acoustically sound ocean”.
“I’m excited to be presenting our Borkum Riffgrund 1 work at such a key event for the ocean noise sector. Europe is an extremely important market for us, so I am looking forward not only to sharing our innovative work with others but also to learning from other speakers, as well as meeting both new and existing European contacts within this dynamic sector,” said Pace ahead of the event.
Her talk is entitled ‘ Mitigating the impact of pile-driving noise on harbour porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) during foundation installation at Borkum Riffgrund 1 Offshore Wind farm’ and will focus on Baker Consultants’ recently completed Borkum Riffgrund 1 project.
Federica Pace’s talk is part of the Pile driving & other impulsive sources stream on Tuesday, 12th May, between 9 and 11.30 am. The conference will be organised in chaired sessions where invited speakers will present new data and participate in a round table where all participants can interact.
