Offshore WIND’s photo of the day: The first foundation at Kentish Flats Extension offshore wind farm.
Earlier this month, GeoSea’s offshore wind installation vessel Neptune installed the first foundation at Vattenfall’s 49.5MW project.
This will be followed by the erection of the 139.6-metre high wind turbines with all turbines scheduled to be deployed by July 2015. The first power is expected in late summer.
The project comprises a total of 15 turbines and will be able to power around 35,000 households.
