Clean Energy Council to Award Innovation and Community Engagement

Business & Finance

The Clean Energy Council (CEC) has called on the best in the business when it comes to innovation and community engagement to nominate for the Clean Energy Council Awards, to be presented at the Australian Clean Energy Summit in Sydney in July.

Last year's winners: Ergon Energy (Innovation) and CWP Renewables (Business Community Engagement)

The awards recognise those companies that have demonstrated excellence over the last 12 months, with a particular focus on project outcomes and stakeholder engagement.

Clean Energy Council Chief Executive Kane Thornton said the standard of entries from renewable energy companies continued to increase every year the awards are presented.

“The Innovation and Community Engagement Awards provide important recognition of industry leaders who have risen above the pack in the past year and achieved positive outcomes, despite some challenging times for the renewable energy sector,” Thornton said.

“Good community engagement is vital to creating successful renewable energy projects that allow everyone in the broader community to benefit, and it goes without saying that innovation is what our industry is built upon.

“If your company has demonstrated excellence over the past year, we want you to nominate for a Clean Energy Council Award.”

Nominations for the Clean Energy Council Innovation and Community Engagement Awards are open until Friday 5 June. The winners will be announced at the Australian Clean Energy Summit Gala Dinner, to be held at the Hilton Sydney on Wednesday 15 July.
