Sea Challenger Soon to Mobilise for Gode Wind

A2SEA’s SEA CHALLENGER will soon start installation of the 97 Siemens 6MW turbines on DONG Energy’s Gode Wind 1+2 project in the German part of the North Sea.

Monday, 29 June 2015 she will start mobilisation in Esbjerg.

“Mobilisation is planned to start Monday 29 June 2015. The mobilisation will comprise sea fastening for turbine components, an extension of the main crane boom and installation of helideck. As always, safety is our first priority and the mobilisation will be carried out in a safe and well-planned manner,” says Project Manager Steen H. Drue.

Depending on weather, first load out is scheduled for 1 August 2015.

Gode Wind 1 + 2 is owned by DONG Energy. The two offshore wind farms will have a total capacity of 582MW and are expected to be fully commissioned in the second half of 2016.
