EEW SPC will fabricate the 67 monopiles at their facilities in Rostock, Germany. For this project, the monopiles will have a diameter of up to 7.8 meters, a length of up to 84.8 meters and a single weight of 1,200 tonnes in average.

At Bladt Industries’ headquarters in Aalborg, Denmark, the 67 transition pieces will be fabricated with a diameter of up to 6.8 meters, an average weight of 350 tonnes and a length of approximately 22 meters.

“We have upgraded our facilities and strengthened our organisation to be able to meet the continually increasing demands of our clients,” says Jan Kjærsgaard, CEO at Bladt Industries.

The fabrication will start this autumn and run until the second half of 2016. According to schedule, the first load out will take place by the end of second quarter of 2016.

Karl Kloes-Hein emphasizes: “The clients’ benefit of this cooperation is having just one team of experts taking on the complete construction of the foundations for the project and working at a very high standard to ensure the highest quality of the final outcome.”

Together, EEW SPC and Bladt Industries have fabricated approximately 1,500 foundations and at the moment, the two companies are jointly supplying foundations for the offshore wind farms Gode Wind 1+2 as well as Sandbank.
