Van Oord’s cable laying vessel, Nexus, arrived to Velsen-Noord to load export cables for Gemini offshore wind farm.
The loading operation was conducted by the Dutch company WIND AG at MEO terminal.
Delivered by Damen in December last year, the 126-metre vessel is the youngest in service.
The export cable, which will transfer the electricity generated from the wind farm to the grid, was loaded from world’s largest carousel owned by Blue Offshore.
